The Objective
As the premier professional development event for school counselors, the American School Counselors Association's annual conference connects over 6,500 professionals across physical and digital spaces each year. Creative2 was tasked with building a custom mobile app and accompanying web ecosystem to serve as the "heartbeat" of this massive event, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees whether they are onsite or participating remotely.
How Creative2 supported
Creative2 developed a robust, custom mobile application that empowers attendees to manage every aspect of their conference experience. The app allows users to build tailored agendas, explore the conference hall with interactive maps, view handouts, and take notes in real-time.
Recognizing the need for a hybrid solution, the platform supports live streaming and on-demand replays, enabling remote users to watch sessions and chat with other attendees from home. To drive engagement, the app features extensive gamification, including things like step challenges, treasure hunts, puzzles, QR code scanning, and leaderboards for prizes.
Beyond the app, Creative2 built a dedicated CEU platform on the back end. This system allows attendees to track their sessions and print certificates for contact hours or graduate credits immediately after the conference, streamlining the professional development process.
